Watercolor Flower Draw Along
Seems like many friends like the Draw Alongs, as I do, with Mrs. Patty at Deep Space Sparkle. So if you are one of those friends take some time and work on a watercolor flower draw along today. You could give it to your wonderful mother with a story about what you love about her.
Superkid's Reading
pages 32-33
. Have children turn to page 32 and find the sentence in the cloud at the top of the page. Point out the exclamation mark and remind them that this means the sentence should be read with strong feeling. Have them read the sentence aloud several times, making it sound like a cheer. Explain that on this page they will write about what they like to do as a Superkid.
Introduce action words. Point out the list of words printed in orange. Read the words aloud together. Explain that these words are called action words because they tell what someone does. Discuss with your child which of the action words are things they like or know how to do.
Have children use action words in sentences they write about themselves. . Point out and read aloud the words above the sets of handwriting lines. Explain that the words are the beginnings of sentences.. Tell children to copy the beginning of each sentence onto the handwriting lines below it and then complete the sentence using one of the action words from the list or another action word they know. Help children spell any additional action words that have unfamiliar letter-sounds. Encourage children to include other words in their sentences that tell more about the actions. . Give examples, such as “I like to skip rope with my friends.” Remind them to put a period or an exclamation mark at the end of each sentence. After completing the page, have children read aloud the sentences they wrote.

Celebrate children’s achievements of completing the Superkid's Reading Series by cutting out the Superkid's Certificate and writing their name on it.
Then have children take some independent time to play a game, sing a song, or read a story on Superkid's On-Line Fun. remembering how far they have come and which Superkid's they love and what the Superkid's "taught" them this year.
